This can't just be for weed at a party--otherwise, you'd see the university insist on rehabilitation or drug counseling if it was something as simple as this. Now, if they were doing this with players, then you have problems...

It has to be more than being at a party where weed was smoked.

FAU is in South Florida right? Shouldn't the university give him a contract extension if he manages to be at a party in South Florida where the ONLY drug is weed?

When the wind blows in that part of the state everyone complains about the cocaine drifts that gather near their front doors.

So either there's really something we're not hearing or this was, in my opinion, one massive over reaction.

I agree. Two grown men should be able to do whatever the hell they want on their own time. Their AD Chun is really pulling a stunt if all this ruckus was for a little pot.

My HSO: Their AD wanted to get rid of him and this was a way to do it without worrying about a buyout.

It happened at an off campus event with no students, players or recruits. Word gets to the AD, he calls the police and report it. Forces coaches to resign.

Now he gets to pick the next coach.

No way this is just for weed.

So, you think there is no way personal problems between a HC and the AD could lead to a situation where the AD leverages an event to force the HC out?

Occam's razor. The simplest explanation is Chun wanted Pelini out and this was his leverage.
