This can't just be for weed at a party--otherwise, you'd see the university insist on rehabilitation or drug counseling if it was something as simple as this. Now, if they were doing this with players, then you have problems...

Gotta be something more than being at an event were weed was smoked. Heck, I'd argue there has to be something more than THEM smoking weed. Neither of those things warrants a resignation effective immediately.

AD has clearly stated that Pelini and the DC were the only parties involved. They were both taken away from FAU offices by popo. No arrests. Coach and his assistant were just trying to get a lil post practice buzz y'all.

My HSO: Their AD wanted to get rid of him and this was a way to do it without worrying about a buyout.

It happened at an off campus event with no students, players or recruits. Word gets to the AD, he calls the police and report it. Forces coaches to resign.

Now he gets to pick the next coach.

Occam's razor. The simplest explanation is Chun wanted Pelini out and this was his leverage.
