Said the team should be fun to watch...fast paced...transition game...players are really taking advantage of the new practice facility...Colman may be the most improved player...We have shooters this year that other teams will have to guard...other teams will not just be able to sag down on one guy...they will have to guard our shooters.

By the way...everyone aware of the new rules for this year? Looks like 'no touching" is in play...touches on shoulders and arms will be fouls...opens things up for shooters...seems the basketball folks were worried about the reduction in scoring (fans like scoring), so they changed the rules. After the show Coach Benford said the new rules gave really changed the game and how it will be played and coached. More scoring...get ready for it! Coach B thought the new rules will really help UNT.

Oh yes...GAME FRIDAY at 7pm at the Super Pit...no ticket needed...no cost...come grab a seat and take a look at this year's version of the Mean Green.

Cannot believe basketball season is upon us...getting ready for some Mean Green basketball!

Both Mean Green football and basketball going at the same time...GREATNESS!

"Colman may be the most improved player..."

Was he reading out of a binder? Will Coleman be the most improved player every year?

"other teams will not just be able to sag down on one guy"

That probably has more to do with who the one guy will be this year. Whomever it is will not be as good as the one guy last year.

A lot of the same things we heard from Benford before last season. This player is improved, that player is as good as anyone, we will run on offense, we will defend better, yap. yap, yap.

After last year, I don't believe a thing this guy says ubtil it actually translates in a basketball game.

If the home OOC schedule is any indication that looks like the goal RV and Benford have set too.

Deconstructing a basketball program. Great.

We won't be anywhere near .500. Conference will eat us alive.

Winning football sure has been a pleasant distraction to the start of dumpster fire season.

Imagine how much fun it might be if both sports were firing on all cylinders at the same time?

I thought like most that Benford was a complete disaster last year and hoped he would be terminated. He was not and I hope he will surprise us this year in the opposite direction of last year.

However, his analysis of players is totally worthless based on his last year commentary.

If Jones was coach, I would think this team has enough to challenge for at least a first half finish. Jones, Williams, Williams are good returning players. Several of the newcomers have some promise. If the front court is even average they should have a good year pending the coaching.

Better hope Kenpom is very wrong and/or Benford manages to make something happen.

Looks like Kenpom agrees with my assessment. Maybe KRAM will be paying that $50 to the scholarship fund.

Hope it's me.
