Softball: Alex Wilcox Memorial, Starkville, MS (2/14-16/2025)
Just another example of how idiotic these leagues are now. I looked ahead at GT's schedule......in a few weeks, they have some home games with Stanford. After thinking how ridiculous it is....to go that far for softball games....I realized it's a conference series. -

Wow Memphis lost to Shockers
The Roundhouse is not an easy place to get a W. Proud of our guys a couple of weeks back getting that clutch win in Wichita. They also love to play close games and they’ve won 2 recently against the Runners and Tigers. They’re figuring some things out at the right time. GMG -

Softball: Boerner Invitational, Arlington, TX (2/20-22/2025)
Due to weather, this week's tournament in Arlington may be the closest we get to a home opener before our game against Oklahoma State on March 5th. After every other UTA program decided they no longer wanted to play us, kudos to softball for being the outlier. However, they decided for this year's Arlington game to be a Thursday 1pm game to try to avoid the heckling of @untcampbell, @FirefightnRick, myself and a few others. Joke's on them - I've got the afternoon off this Thursday and look forward to my first softball game of the year. Schedule Tournament Participants School Wins Losses Notes North Texas 8 2 You already know. Incarnate Word 4 6 UIW and UTA already played in Incarnate Word's tournament where they split two meetings. Three of UIW's four wins were in that tournament. This past weekend, their only win was a 16-10 thriller over Pitt in Houston's tournament. UT Arlington 4 7 UTA started 4-0 in UIW's tournament. After losing to UIW, UTA got swept in LSU's tournament. They got outscored 37-4 in five games to #7 LSU, #18 VA Tech, and #21 Northwestern. Northwestern State 1 8 Their sole win was a 4-3 extra-inning victory over Memphis this past weekend. Memphis, under a new head coach, loaded their opening tournament with cupcakes to start 5-0. Yale 0 0 This tournament will be the open of their 2025 campaign. They were 20-26 in 2024.- 1

I imagine the "Co-DC" was to raise his pay, not a matter of actual function. There's no question the new guy is the DC.- 1
