I agree up to a point, but we must do a better job of reaching our DFW alums. Without them we are never going to reach our attendance potential no matter how well we do on the field.

So true. We need local area non-affiliated football fans too. They don't have traffic as an excuse.

I think the doubters will be pleasantly surprised. I have people coming out of the woodwork for this game.

I'm bringing four adults and two nephews. One of those I'm bringing had season tickets up until this year and is attending his first game of 2013.

Not bad at all...students definitely did their part! And they were Loud as well....here's hoping this game was the one that helps bring the students out the rest of the year!

Bowl time!!

Very possible. With all of the coverage on tonight's game, coupled with the great game and a team that is fun to watch and 6-3 should bring out more next week. This team could very well win out.

My goal is to get that student turnout back (biggest ever) and hope the alumni show up for once.

Title is the alum is turn to support the team. I went to the students side for a bit and the edges of the alumni section were empty. Tonight was a great turnout but we now need to get the world out to everyone!

Homecoming will be the first sellout of Apogee. We had 22k on a Thursday night Halloween game. I'm sure we add a bit to that, and UTEP travels in DFW.

I hope they do, but I fear they are so down this year, a lot of their fans may wait to visit UNTs campus until basketball season

In a slightly different twist, what I saw last night was a rowdy group of several thousand students who were actively engaged in the game through the ENTIRE FOUR QUARTERS.

Those several thousand students formed memories last night that will last a lifetime, an opportunity not provided to students for nigh a decade.

Those several thousand students are not going to go back to class on Monday with Tech shirts on saying, "I think we suck, so I left in the second quarter and totally got into Lou's with my fake ID."

Those several thousand students are going to spin fish tales for years to come, saying with bravado, "I was at THE STAND."

Those several thousand students are the next generation of check writing, ticket buying alumni, and they got a product worth supporting last night.
