Agree. I have watched a lot of Rice the last two years and we are a bad matchup for them. The things we have had problems with this year, I have not seen them be able to do. We give up big plays in the passing game, but they do not have the speed at wr nor the QB to take advantage. They go to their TEs and rbs a lot in the passing game, but we have the safeties and lbs that can shut that down. I watched UH shut it down in the second half of their game, and unt has a better defense. Unt Defense vs Rice offense is where i see the clear advantage and this is where the game should be won.

Rice is a little better on defense than some of the teams we have faced. Not as fast as Tulane though.

We will need to pass to loosen the defense up. They can play physical and stop the run. They have some decent athletes in the secondary, but they can get beat. If we are predictable, they will stuff the run. If we open the offense, we shouldn't have a problem moving the ball and scoring.
