I was surprised, too.

And I hope this game is a W. It's a must win. Keep that crowd coming back. I'm so excited for this game. So, screw Houston (for this week only.)

I'll also be there this weekend, so I'd love to taunt the 2 Rice fans I'll run into.

This thread is hilarious. And the amount of green KoolAid some drink is frightening. Someone remind me how many games we've won in the past 10 years? Our sucess so far this season does not justify belittling UTSA, even if they are new to FBS. Wishing ill on your opponents doesn't do anybody any favors.

Right, because UNT upgrading facilities in order to scratch and claw it's way into a conference that took forever to get to while a POS start up that has ZERO facilities gets the same conference that we had to work our ass off to get into simply because they have a TV market?

Hope they lose every game by 30.

Wish it were 70.

I think it was the thug life talking. Realness and illness and all. Though it doesn't blend well with the Dave Matthews bro-ness...

But again, I don't think the stadium is the best way to slight them. In big cities, there are quite a few colleges using the pro stadiums. If they were somewhere further out and driving to the closest big city to use a stadium, I'd think it was funny too. But as it stands, the stadium approach isn't nearly the most effective means to an insult. I'm not saying not to poke fun...just wait for the chance for a zinger rather than something that really isn't funny or a burn at all. We must show no weakness...especially in our wit! Haha...um...hmm...ha.

We need UTSA to lose badly every game...because it helps us in recruiting Texas HS kids...because we need to keep the other Texas schools from partnering up with them for a conference affiliation just to gain San Antonio's TV market, tourism, and a possible bowl tie-in...

I hate do this because it makes the thread longer. PLEASE DIE THREAD. It was meant as a fun GameDay poke at a Conference mate. And it has turned into 10 pages of crap. Much of it it from me. RICE is tomorrow. Please let this be the last post in this thread. I'll even start up the conversation again UTSA week, but please let this thread die here.

Just a quick point UNT90. Hope/wish pretty much the same thing? Regardless I dig your mantra. I feel the same way.

      I keep seeing posts about how the defense got it done today. I didn’t see that. Army did what they always do to high powered offense teams- slow down, hold the damn ball. We couldn’t force a turnover for large portions of that game. We couldn’t hold the line against that run. I agree that the offense didn’t do them any favors, but Army played us like a damn fiddle for 14 minutes.

      Maybe not, but does the product unt has been putting out worth the average fan worth the extra hassle of parking and getting through gates? To me, the average fan will say no thanks and find something else to do in Dfw. Unt football is in entertainment business and there is a lot of competition in Dfw. No one has to like the comment but it is true.

      Fire the OC. The defense showed up.

      Army’s game plan and turning down a late end of half high percentage field goal with no time on the clock was disrespectful of a top rated offense. They completely crapped the bed and Army knew as long as they had more than a 3 point lead, Mean Green offense would make mistakes and stop themselves. As stupid as it sounds the Mean Green’s overall strategy was to out discipline Army and get lucky with some big plays.

      There’s always something keeping this team from winning. Hitting the wrong hole, missed tackles, poor execution, poor play selection, ultra aggressiveness. Ultimately, that’s on the HC.
