Playing Marshall on FS1. I'm rooting for them. How 'bout you?

MTSU beating or playing with Marshall would indicate to me that we could beat either Marshall or ECU 9who lost by 3 to Tulane, just like UNT).

While ever game is different, and different teams match up differently, Marshall losing would indicate that there is no alpha male in the conference this year, and that EVERYTHING is up for grabs.

So, ya, I'll be on the MTSU bandwagon.

As a general habit, I tend to cheer for a team if we also play that team. Of course if both teams are on our schedule I have other equally goofy reasons to pick the team to support .

Mixed feelings. If MUTS wins, that would be a sign that we could be as good as anybody in the conference. But it would also be a further sign that C-USA is a pretty bad conference right now.

Seems like from a purely selfish standpoint, you would want every team on your schedule to win thei other game to make your own performance look better.

However, pulling for the muts just seems wrong.

I have a couple of good friends that graduated from Marshall and one that played center for them and was an All-American Honorable Mention. He was a graduate assistant coach for Marshall when the tragedy occurred but was not on the flight because he had to take the teacher certification test the next day. He was in several scenes of the film. So I have for years had a little soft spot...although there's nothing I would like more than to beat them in the Championship game.

I believe BCS standings do play a part in determining CUSA tiebreakers (I could be wrong). Thus, I would think we would want our strength of schedule to be as stout as possible.
