Vegas Lines for our game: We are laying 11 on the road against Southern Miss

Tulsa is favored by 3 at Tulane

No Line for UTSA UAB I guess since UTSA is still provisional

Tech is favored by 5 against FIU

Marshall is favored by 9 against the MUTS

Rice favored by 17 against UJEP

FAU is 24 point dog against Auburn

I'm not so sure about Tulsa...I picked Tulane. I also picked Marshall, but look at their games thus far this season. They really haven't beaten anyone notable, and MUTS's losses have been mostly against some pretty good competition, including us. I think most of the Marshall expectation is based on how we still expect them to perform, since they haven't beaten very good teams. If there's going to be a CUSA surprise this week, I think that will be the one.

Tulane, like us, has been down for so long it will take awhile for people to wake up and see that they aren't really that bad a team. Old ways die hard among the sportwriter crowd.

But this is the betting public, not the sportswriter crowd. Betting public is usually FAR smarter.

      Massie is basically listed at the same build as both AScott and TBell…our starting PFs for the last four seasons. That’s at least part of the reason I see Massie as a fit at our 4…so much of our defense is built around switching, denying entry and team rebounding…so we’ve never needed 6’8” 250 at the 4. I agree Vice is such a big wildcard. If it’s literally just him and Sissoko sharing minutes at the 5 and giving say 12/12 collectively, this squad could be a monster and legit ten-deep. this level of pre-season speculation is pretty darn fun. We are not have like three dudes on the roster we’re pretty well confident in knowing what they’ll give us…Walker, Sissoko and Stone…everyone else is kinda up in the air. personally…I think Wright is knocking on the door of 20ppg…with Floyd, Josell, Massie all around double-figures…balanced by Walker, Newell and some center combo giving 7-8/game.

      What's happened to APR? Is that still a thing? It used to be that if more than a few players left a football program (much more so a basketball program) without graduating in the same year, it would kill a team's APR.

      Have almost given up trying to figure out time lines with college athletes. Tell me how in the world athletes can transfer three or four times and still be on any path to have the proper amount of hours at a school to graduate. It has become a total joke.
