Adman has told me that the Day of the Dead Festival http://www.dentondayofthedeadfestival.com/dentondayofthedeadfestival/Home.html is all day this Saturday. With "A salsa cook-off, music & dancing, street performers and side show entertainers, Denton’s original Halloween Cabaret “Cirque du Horror,” as well as Denton’s very own Coffin Races and a lantern-lit twilight parade" we are deciding to head to Denton via the Train for the day.

The Coffin Races are from 1-4pm http://vimeo.com/73285565 and I don't want to miss much of that.

Harry and I are leaving the Royal Station in Dallas (Green Line) at 1:11 to arrive in Denton at 2:02. The game kicks off at 6pm and we are gonna watch at East Side Social Club https://www.facebook.com/pages/East-Side-Social-Club/470164346352154

What better place to watch us play than in Denton itself around others who feel the same way as we do about NT?

The train heading back leaves at either 10:20 or 11:53 PM but we are taking the 10:20 with an arrival back at Royal and 35 at 11:10. Anyone that wants to is more than welcome to ride up with us. I just figured with all the things happening right there in the square plus the game that Denton might not be a bad place to spend a Saturday when we don't have a home game..

See you guys out there.

I've been considering taking the train up from Lewisville on Saturday, but I don't yet know the weekend kid schedule. I can't very well go galavanting around the square until 11:30 only to come home and find that she got home at 7 and has been sitting around watching bad Netflix and subsisting on chewing gum and frozen pot stickers.

But if I am free that night, totally taking the train up. Learned that trick going to Oak Street over the summer. Totally worth it.

I'm just cheap. Does that count?

I actually always encourage the train. Dallas is putting a lot of money into the DART and Denton likewise with DCTA trying to get us caught up with other major cities, some of which are completely dependent on Public transit. I've always been an advocate of the downtown centric city with adequate public transportation as opposed to suburbs and cars but thats just me.
