Last year when thins got bad they started this true freshman at qb.

Kid had offers from schools like Clemson, Bama, and LSU but things got disastrous. He completed less than 45% of his passes and disgruntled fans were criticizing his play, which ticked his mom off and this happened.

She ended up getting arrested at the game. Losing seasons are tough on everyone and we've been there. Putting in another true frosh this year shows they have nothing to lose. Teams with nothing to lose can be dangerous, but if you get them down their frustration can grow exponentially. Get em down early and often.

Wow! It could have been interesting if her son had played here and heard some of our fans in the stands during the Dodge era.

My concern with a more mobile QB against our D-line is that we lose containment quite a bit. Look for 50+ yards from their QB.

We've had some over pursuit issues with our D line - Tulane for sure - but these last two games it has seemed like we've corrected them.

Last two? What about the MUTS game?

Grammar had over 100 yards rushing and over half were on pass plays were he had to scramble. Most of the scrambles were right up the middle to. He did it all game right up until Sed knocked his lid off.

most of those yards (after the first drive) UNT was fine giving up... they were in third and long situations, so NT covered the receivers, but gave him 8 yards or so of running room, which would leave him 2 or 3 yards short of the first down... they weren't giving him free reign to run where he wanted to...

UNT was playing smart D that night, they knew Grammar wasn't going to beat them with his legs
