Winning out is definitely a good possibility considering how poor Charlotte, UAB, and Rice have performed this year. Then you'd just need one postseason victory to surpass last year's record win total.
Yeah as @NorthTexasWeLove just said, it needs to be a university-wide effort. I am proud of our performing arts programs or that we have a lot of students who are the first in their families to attend school, but there needs to be some strategizing by the admissions leaders. Most of our students are from big metros. How could we get in front of more small town kids who are used to spending all their Friday nights at football games in the fall?
When it comes to student population, at this point try to focus on quality over quantity. Cap enrollment at 50K and work on building more dorms, getting more of your students on campus and intertwined with the student experience.
And there's gotta be something done with the Greeks. When I was a student from 2014-17 there was one home game a year where all the Greeks would show up for "points" or whatever but now it seems we don't even have that. I'm wondering if just doing one frat and sorority of the game every game instead of all at once for one game would be more enticing so each chapter on campus would get an opportunity to be showcased.
I saw most of the game. First half was poor for both teams. NT turned the ball over, made stupid mistakes ..have to call it out. It was bad at times. 2nd half they came alive. Made 3s when they needed to. EC had chance to win the game twice but could not put it away. Defense came up big.
As Z said above, a win is a win. But they will need to clean that up to win again. And looking at the schedule, the ladies lave legit change to win out. 23 regular season wins I think .. and that is special.
The elongated fix is to quit recruiting/attracting losers. I get it, not all lib arts people are losers. But if you're a liberal art type person and you are on thi ms site then you are 100% and anomaly within your professional community.
The quick fix is to get an AD in here that cares. Truly cares about UNT.
