Very strange. I don't and I think you are the only/first person to ever mention such a thing.

They are in Waco which is kind of its own region in texas. There is open space between dfw and Waco where there is not development. Lots of it.

You know what my favorite ting to do in DFW is? Choctaw.

Ok, now that's actually funny. Good one! LOL.

When I was a student at NT, Denton wasn't in the DFW area.

Trust me from experiencing the highway construction in Northeast Tarrant County; once they start rebuilding I-35 through Denton, it won't seem like Denton is part of any area.

The Baylor campus is 100 miles from Dallas and 100 miles from Austin and clearly is not in either metropolitan area. Waco has it's own tv and radio channels which none can be received in DFW or Austin, and those cities media cannot be received in Waco.

Waco is the lunch and bathroom stop on a road trip to Austin. Gainesville is the potty stop on the way to OKC.

At least Waco has a Rudy's. All of them taste a tiny bit different. I still want to spend a couple of days in Waco to check out all the random museums and stuff (Dr. Pepper, Texas Rangers, NCAA, etc.). Every time I've been there was either on the way to something or for Moot Court so I never had time. Is there anything in Gainesville other than my ex-roommate's mom and her Cajun cooking?

Nothing in Gainesville, head west on Hwy 82 to Lindsay for BBQ or to Muenster for German food!
