SUMG's father, William Howard McDowell worked his way off a farm in Louisiana to attend La Tech and graduate in 1937 as a chemist. From the stories I have heard he was a good man and a great father.

Here is his brick among the thousands of other graduates honored along a paved walkway across campus.

So cool. Wished NT did this.

How was everyone's Ruston/LaTech experience?

Excellent. We brought a good crowd. Its extremely easy to get to. The hospitality was great, the campus is pretty and I truly believe this is gonna be a fantastic future conference rivalry for the future for both schools.

Plus... I just got my text read on your sweet Brown/Sharpton POST-GAME CALL IN. SHOW giving yall props the rest of the way for the future of this conference. I love that about Louisiana universities and their call in shows.

I highly recommend La Tech as a road trip to everyone next time if you haven't ever been.
