Coming off a really poor game plan in the first half which IMHO cost UNT a winnable game against Tulane last week, despite that, despite the weather, despite a big game locally (that HAMMERED the TCU attendance)...students showed up, fans showed up, Apogee gave you the environment you wanted for your team.

You asked and the fans delivered.

Now

It's your turn.

DO NOT go into the La Tech game with the same OVER conservative gamelan you did at Tulane, that you do at most road games. Resist your nature to gamelan your team into a shell on the road. Trust these players to make plays.

Be aggressive early. These players have earned your trust.

The next home game is going to be hard enough to get a big crowd. Give people a reason to come up there on Halloween night.

PLAY TO WIN NEXT SATURDAY.

The fans implore you.

I'm inclined to think Tulane was a screw up, plain and simple. Not an indication he climbs into a shell on the road.

I didnt' see Ball State first half, though, so maybe I have no basis for this.

I hope so.

But even in the MTSU game....he came out conservative early. Then they started throwing horizontally. Then they started pounding the ball up thevmiddle with success. It's no coincidence.

At Tulane he just, as DT even said, Kept "running into a brick wall.

He has a horrible record on the road. He needs to fix it.

Some of you waste no time. Have a drink, kiss a girl.... relax. Tomorrow's a work day. Enjoy life for a tic. ;)

I did enjoy the win. That was domination.

But dammit I want another one.

I think I can see in the gif, right before it starts over, the guys behind him are about to bust out laughing.

Mac danced into and out of the locker room after that game. :) I haven't seen 19 that fired up since

the cancellation of Power Rangers.

Happiness... A few people on here should all try it sometime. ;)

I've tried it. I like it.

After MTSU game: happiness

After Tulane game (and many other road games under Mac): sadness

I want to feel happiness after the La Tech game.

Don't miss Marcus Trice at the beginning of the animation, to Mac's left, HOWLING. Be Great 8!

FIU in 2011, Ohio and Tulane this year. I bet if one took to time to look, you would see this as a pattern on the road. It damn sure had been this year.

Take what the defense gives you, coach. If they do what MTSU did, run it down their throats. If they do what Tulane and Ohio did, throw it over the top.

But, most importantly, win an important game on the road for a change.

Please.

I think that La. Tech has a young running QB similar to Grammar. I expect they will make us beat them in the air. Of course it's their Homecoming so should be a decent crowd.

I am very happy!

I almost got teary eyed when I saw that several groups were in attendance and getting Jumbotron treatment or recognition. Even Baptist and Methodist church groups, too. Groups will fill Apogee so much faster than individual day of game walk up ticket sales. My late mama taught me that concept at a very young age.

After the Tulane game, some of Macs comments pretty much admits they were unprepared. He said they did some things we were not prepared for and he mentioned the blitzes.

We were outcoached early and it took us too long to adjust.

Is DT allowed to audible? if he is, how much freedom does he have considering this passing stuff is new to unt?

I know some coaches like to script a certain amount of plays at the start of a game.

That is what scares me....we had TWO weeks for tulane prep, and yet still looked like we were caught off guard.

The game plan was understandable against Tulane. It just didn't work and NT was too late coming out of it.

Tulane's run defense has really improved. I expect McCarney thought he would run them into the ground just as he did Middle.

McCarney tends to be conservative home or away. Anyone not think that just maybe Ohio, Tulane and Georgia are a bit stronger than MTSU and Idaho. Ball State was a good win which the home field including the heat helped a lot.
