Over 300 yards rushing....excellent! This team really seemed to come out wanting to prove they could run the ball...and they darn ure did! And, against a decent MT front. Way to go O-line and well done running backs. Fun to watch.

Now...go to La Tech next week and do the same thing with the same results. Got to get that road game monkey off your backs!

Makes me mad too. Any game that has a semblance of a blowout should see the 2nd and 3rd QB's get some time. I'd really like to see what they can do, but maybe that's just me.

You guys are right. Mini Mac had a bit of time in this one but we could have had a whole series of him and another whole series of another QB. Also, remember I said after the Georgia game that our running game would be better in CUSA? Tulane was a craphole of a game for us but I do think you can expect to see much more efficacy in terms of power runs, like you saw tonight, over the next few weeks.

No problem with the play calling in this game. For whatever reason, MTSU never pressed their safeties up, choosing instead to play 7, and sometimes even only 6, near the LOS, basically daring us to run. We did, and quite well.

MTSU gameplan was to make us run the ball, and that is exactly what we did. Offense needed a good Rushing game, for confidence.

Mac definitely wanted to run the ball, and run it alot. It worked, 300+ yrds Rushing game and a W is always something to be happy with.

I noticed there was no more of the A formation (thank God) with the back lined up 8 yards deep, and at times we had DT under center handing off to a quicker backfield with a fullback leading the way.

All adjustments allowing us to hit the hole quicker.

That's good coaching right there.
