Pre-season against Maccabi Haifa

19 minutes played

5 rebounds

3 fouls

3 point

-19 (+-)

Surprised he did not have a single block, but he was given some decent minutes. Jerebko and Datome didn't even touch the court.

Different league...adjustments may take time. D-League will help him develop...hopefully into a future NBA all-star. Has the tools for that for sure...we'll see. Got 5 boards...that's good. But, Haifa is certainly not an NBA quality team. Doubt the NBA folks see him as a scorer anyway...need rebounds and blocks to have a big time future. Go get 'em Tony!

If am following every pre season game and trying to watch them all as well. He just looked hesitant. He needs to take some chances before Charlie V. Makes a solid push for minutes off the bench. He has to try to score in the coming games .

Everything I've read on ESPN insider says there is strong chance Tony won't be sent down to D league. Not because he is in the Pistons rotation, but because the Pistons do lot have their own dedicated D league team and have to share with several other NBA teams. The are hesitant to use the team since the team doesn't run their offense or style of play and they have little say in how the players are used. Pistons ate looking to acquire their own team, but won't be able to for this year.

Mitchell played all of 43 seconds tonight and had no stat line... Jerebko was back in the lineup and played 33 minutes off the bench. Plus Charlie V played another 21. No minutes for Mitchell right now at the PF position on this team.

Maybe they just wanted to look at some others this game. It is pre-season after all, right? Several players to look at for that Pistons team. However, if these two stat lines continue, it could be a bad sign as far as making the final roster.

I hear that the D League is in TM's future this season, but meangreenacct is correct when he says the Pistons do not have their own D League team. So, what happens if not the roster...and not the D League?

Still holding out hope that TM makes the final roster.
