Speaking of great beer, family came into town last night and we went to a place called Whiskey Cake in Plano.They had a great list of Local Beer, and i got something called Franconia Lager out of McKinney. It was excellent.

Are we sure East Side is going to be playing it? It's the Canned Fest this week, which is across the street from their place. I'll be at the fest, call me a bad fan.

was at the oak street yesterday...so nice...think the wifey and i are going to hit up the east side for the game tomorrow...

My good for nothing child dictates that we eat at Sabrocita every freaking weekend now, which means we'll certainly be up Denton way at some point in the morrow. Oddly, last time I took her to East Side, she didn't order anything from the bar. I'm gonna have to work on that kid.

La Sabrocita is the best Mexican food place in Denton, by a lot. Make sure you get the pastor. Unless it's one of they days they make caldo de res, then if you don't get the caldo you are an idiot.

Last weekend we ate at the Denton and Carrollton locations on the same day. She likes it that much. The Carrollton location has some unspeakably good BBQ'd chicken. My God. I've seen the caldo, but I always gravitate toward tacos or the #1 with two meats and tortillas. I do love a good caldo though. I really, really wish they had Posole, cuz I know it would be epic if they did.

Speaking of "the best Mexican food place in Denton," how this for some fighting words sure to divide Dentonites bitterly?
