Of course...it's is different and, of course, there will be those who complain and whine that it is different. But, give everyone a few years of the new Big Tex and they will love it as much as the original. Bottom line is...old Big Tex burned, we now have a new Big Tex. New Big Tex much better than no Big Tex. Yes, great to have the big fella back. It is not the State Fair of a Texas without the big fella. Welcome back, Big Tex!

Need another option, something like neutral. The only thing I see 'wrong' with him is that he looks like Hank Hill's dad and lost his shins on O-kee-now-a.

I had never been to the state fair before yesterday. I have never seen any iteration of Big TeX before the one I saw yesterday. So, my opinion, unspoiled by admiration of previous versions: I thought he looked look a giant Dickies commercial with the transplanted face of Beavis.

I also found the reverence for Big TeX, both current and past, including, "the ultimate Big TeX experience" on display, over the top and really strange.

Overall, I did like fair park more than I thought I would. It's a pretty cool setup.

Oh no. They don't. Such a thing very much doesn't exist. I tried really, really hard to find one online, just because the irony would be so great, but I can't find one at all.

Big Tex disturbed me as a child, but he is iconic with the State Fair. The new version has crazy eyes, and also meets the prior descriptions of looking like Bevis, no shins like Hank Hill's dad and a corporate billboard for Dickies.

Well...If I had put up the amount of money Dickies had, I'd darn sure want my logos all over the thing. I see no problem with that. I believe the old Big Tex also had Dickies logos.
