No -- every single remaining game on our schedule is winnable although I expect Tulsa will improve as the season goes on.

There are teams with talent which hasn't yet shown up on the field and Tulane is one of them... they have a terrific secondary and a young talented defensive line.

The fact is our running game is struggling right now and that concerns me greatly.

No. But there are also no games left on the table you'd consider un-loseable. Right? What game did we consider unwinnable after we did what we did at K-state last year?

It's about objectivity. Is trying to be objective such an evil thing?

No every game is a winnable one.

I hope we get our offense running on all cylinders again, I am looking forward to some back to back wins.

Rice, Tulane, Tulsa, MTSU and yes UTSA will all be tough. We have what it takes, I think it comes down to which of our teams shows up. We have to start playing better on Offense, play calling has to get more creative. And we need to shore up the secondary. Win road games.

No game is unwinnable. I may put Rice in that catagory if we didn't have them at home.

That said, all games will have a point spread under 7 at kickoff, maybe even under 5. I wouldn't doubt if we are dogs at Tulane, as we have been terrible on the road under Mac.

Point is, while all are winnable, all are also very losable. Just get me 5 of the last 8 and I'll be ecstatic.

We should finish 10-2 in the regular season. But ONLY if their current "I didn't come here to lose" attitude continues. I haven't seen this kind of mental toughness on the part of a North Texas team since the Corkey Nelson teams of the mid-to-late 80's.

I have thought from day 1 that NT had a good chance to win every game other than the one yesterday.

NT is playing significantly better thus far than I anticipated and the Western Division looks weaker than anticipated, so NT does not only have a chance to win any game; but should be favored in most.

NT is going to have to continue to improve because the other CUSA are, but I will be disappointed with less than 8 wins in the regular season.

This team not only believes they can win, they believes they WILL win. :zoro:

I'm just as excited for the rest of 2013 as anyone, but am I the only one who still feels we may not know a whole lot about our team?

The only thing I know with some certainty is we are a salty bunch, we struggle in the secondary and our running game is questionable at best.

Still, I am extremely excited for what might transpire. Looking forward to how things unfold, beginning with Tulane.

Interest that we now have a target on our back from the other conference schools...who would have thought so pre-season.

We could go anywhere from 0-8 to 8-0 to finish out the season. There are a ton of reasons to be optimistic, but if the last decade has taught us anything its that you take nothing for granted. I think we will find out in New Orleans what this team may have in store for the rest of the year.

Interesting point. This team reminds me of those teams in those years that beat TT, TCU, Rice and really beat Texas
