The New Scrappy

Just received my Alum mag in the mail. I love the new re-design of Scrappy. "Superhero-Like". Of course there will be critics, but this was done very well in my opinion. They even mention the new Mascot uni will be re-designed. Didn't see it at the Ball State game.

I still like the old Scrappy from the 50's and 60's. He just looked so, well, "Scrappy". The new one looks good as well.

Looks like they have changed the cartoon version of Scrappy for print, not the actual mascot costume.

This is good news and long over due. The current one's eyes are goofy as they are located to the front of the head, giving it a cross-eyed appearance.

Never understood why they changed the head from the previous to the current. Hopefully it's as they stated in the North Texan that its meaner and greener looking.

I think they are saying that the new Scrappy more closely resembles the diving eagle logo and they are going to have new apparel with the new Scrappy on it.

The mascot costume is changing too. They should have it by the next home game. It will be more similar to SOW, eyes, talons, etc.

I wore a shirt with the new scrappy on to the Ball St. game. It is pretty cool! The old school Scrappy is not bad but I would like an update. I recall the one from the bowl years being pretty awesome.
