Dunham out for the year

At least his backup seemed to do a solid job on Saturday. I don't know about getting Blake a hardship waiver, since he redshirted his freshman year.

The "redshirt" year (4 to play 5) and the Hardship Waiver are two different things. Dunham will be eligible to apply for a hardship waiver if he desires.

You can't apply for it until all your regular time is up, so that won't happen until after the 2014 season. The decision is completely up to the NCAA, they don't always seem to apply the same criteria, and I won't say NT has fared well in their decisions.

I'm not sure if you're trying to correct me, or just adding to what I wrote. Yes, I know that a redshirt and hardship waiver ("medical redshirt") are two different things. But a hardship waiver can be applied for at any time, and does not in and of itself extend the 5-year clock.
