Seems like coach Mac and staff are backing up what they have been saying about competition at positions, team depth, and holding players accountable. There is also more trust in using other players and trusting they can get the job done.

The benching of Whitfield is the 1st thing that comes to mind. Then the change with the kicker. No longer scared to try something different.

Jackson and jimmerson had tough games. They were replaced. Some say jimmerson may have been hurt, but he had his helmet on and looked like he wanted back in from what I saw a few times. Could be wrong.

Trust in young players like the kicker, kidsy, and a few on special teams. Even though McNulty did not throw, they still did some unpredictable plays while he was in there.

Maybe this mindset could have pulled off one or two more victories last year. Dont know, but this team looks a lot better tban last years, and hopefully we have turned the corner as far as the staff using talent and trust as an excuse.
