Recap around CUSA West week 3

Texas is 1-2, we are 2-1. We could very easily have a better record than them this year. Just wanted to throw that in there.

There's been talk about Ohio beating Marshall. Marshall could be the team to represent the east this year, which means if we make it to the CUSA championship game we will have a shot against them, ECU, or whoever.

Our division is shaping up to look wide open. Tulane beat La Tech in a sloppy game. Two teams that we have a very good chance to win against on the road.

Tulsa got smashed by OU, not saying much but they still don't look impressive. Rice beat Kansas for the second straight year and appear to be the team to beat as of now. MUTS squeaked out a win against Memphis and they'll be a tough game at home with potentially a bowl slot on the line.

UTSA had a respectable loss to Arizona. Not a game to take lightly but we should win that one. UTEP beat one of the worst teams in FBS in NMSU, the only team Idaho beat last year.

My power ranking through 3 weeks on our division:

1. Rice

2. North Texas

3. Tulsa

4. Tulane

5. UTSA

6. UTEP

7. La Tech

Who cares about Texas. More importantly, UNT currently has the best record of the Metroplex teams (SMU 1-1, TCU 1-2, both struggled against an FCS school).

Hopefully some of the TCU and SMU recruits that we want will take notice.

That's why the Tulane game is soooo Important. Some of these kids just need to learn how to win on the road. Start off with a road win in Conference play & we have a good shot at the West Title

Tulsa has shown me the last 2 times we've played them. Until we prove we can beat them, they are better and it isn't even close.

Remember this is not the same Tulsa team we saw there two years ago. Also hopefully we will have a healthy DT starting and not Little Mac ( he was a disaster).
