Completely agree!

Not only were the commentators great, but they were also getting really excited about the Mean Green in the second half saying tons of good things.

When they handed the station over to the OSU game they mentioned Dan McCarney doing a great job turning the program around in Denton and the announcers of the OSU game then spent two minutes during the begining of the OSU game talking about how Dan McCarney is great and UNT is on the upswing.

This is the type of exposure we need. This is how a program becomes relevant on a national stage.

they did call us North Texas State but Followell corrected him.

Mark Followill is the first announcer I've ever heard correct that ridiculous error. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I think he should be enshrined in the UNT Hall of Fame just for that.

I'm in total agreement! I watched this game (illegally) in New York, and I was proud to finally see a legit production for a North Texas football game. Big ups to the broadcast team, but more importantly, the football team and the coaching staff.

The team got a lot of praise during the halftime program and during the second half, especially the D. Lots of talk about the turnovers and even more about the big hits our guys were delivering. Some fun notes - Thompson got the player of the game and Lee got their edge of the game awards.

Just another fun stat - the number of turnovers our team was able to generate against a team this caliber with a quarterback of this caliber says good things about our program. Ball's Wenning is no joke, he's clearly their deadliest offensive weapon and I'm glad to see this game end with a W in our column.

I recorded the game and am watching it now. The tv coverage is great. Way better than anything we had with the Sun Belt and ESPN.

CUSA's commercials even look better.

Overall it was very good. I missed the "North Texas State". But... anyone notice the graphic at the end of the game called us the "North Texas Green Machine"?! :glare:
