"The North Texas State D came alive tonight!!"

Call MY University whatever you want. AS LONG AS YOU CALL THEM WINNERS over Ball State.

The announcers said this was the most physical defense they have seen all year. Hats off to our special teams. Without the field goals, punts inside the 20, and great returns, this win would not of been possible. Also great game by DT, and the offense.

2-1 for the first time since returning to D1

Is it? I thought we were 2-1 about 5 years ago and the 2-0 was before our return to D1. Either way it does feel good, especially seeing the D come along so well the week before we play at Georgia. Of course I still don't expect an upset, but if the defense puts in four quarters of what we saw in the second half today, we could have a pretty respectable showing.

Winner winner chicken dinner! Impressive win after how far down they were. What did Coach Mac say at halftime to make that kind of performance?

Two favorite things from tonight:

1) Play calling really let DT spread the ball around - great job executing by DT but great job by Chico letting him loose.

2) Our DB can lay down some punishment. I think it was 3 fumbles forced by those guys? Great job, they really kept us in the game in the first half.

Commentators loved our defense.

Called it the hardest hitting defense they had seen yet. Also complemented out team on their intensity and for not giving up. The fumble Lee caused was a bone jarring hit. The hardest hit I have seen this year.
