Stopped watching it a while ago when I cut cable and could no longer stand the 20 minutes of ads for every 2 minutes of programming on Hulu, but I used to really like it. I have a signed pilot script cover sheet from Matt Nix. He's kinda a distant acquaintance, so I always cheer him on.

Glad to see there are other fans of the show on the board. I didn't get into it until around season 3 or 4, although I caught reruns. I started buying the DVDs and Im watching season 5 right now, although I saw it as it was aired. I think it was a crap decision to end it, since asI hear it was one of the top rated shows on TV. They could have moved it to another costal city, since Miami apparently decided to start being d1<ks.

But, that was the best series finale I've seen. I really hope that other writers took note on how to end a show.

Exactly like me. I got into it a few seasons ago and loved it.

I'd also agree that it was one of the better season finales I've seen.

I enjoyed it more two or three years ago. I watched it to the bitter end, but for the last two years I enjoyed the friend/fbI agent and Michaels mother (Sharon Gless) much better than Michael. Toward the end Michael ran the gamut of emotions from A to B.

I liked "The Closer", but I found that I liked Major Crimes even better.

Looking forward to "Justified" this January.

I don't get to watch much TV because I'm in the same boat with kids and craziness...but I did catch it a couple of times when I could just because of Bruce Campbell, and was pleasantly surprised by everything else in the show too. It's one of my "when I have a whole week of nothing I need to watch a marathon" shows that I'd like to check out someday.

I'm sorry I missed out commenting on this. I LOVE Burn Notice. I got hooked on a marathon after the first season and watched it always each week.

I hated to see the series end but the truth is that it went as far as it could. There is only so long you can follow a burned spy. They kept killing off his antagonists.

The whole last season was very different from the rest of the series. Very grim. Very dark.

Finale - great ending. Hated see Matie die.

Yeah, I hated to see Mattie die, but I understand why her character did. She felt as if this was her chance to save her son, after years of not being able to save them from the world. Hence the, "This is for my boys." comment.

Yeah, I was tearing up.
