Solich Press Conference

NT03

Recommended Posts

A few notes I got off various sources via twitter

Ohio not hitting the panic button, but Solich gave impression Saturday night critical to rest of '13. "We need to play up to our potential."

Solich admitted he and NT coach Dan McCarney are kindred spirits. "Our coaching philosophy is the same. Very much on the same page

Solich promising some changes this week, in personnel. Wouldn't specify, but not dictated by injuries alone
"We have a great home field advantage with our fans!"

We don't know what kind of football team we are and we don't know what kind of team North Texas is, other than that they're physical

Solich said North Texas plays a very physical brand of football and can hurt the opposition with weapons on the outside.

Solich opens the presser saying that he thinks his team can move on from the loss at Louisville

One of the players who he was impresssed with was KR Devin Bass, saying he played how he wants the rest of the team to play.

I did a little snooping on the Bobcats board.

According to some postings, both of the Bobcat's OL guards are out with injuries from the Louisville game.

LG John Lechner and RG Sam Johnson.

Believe me, Coach Solich will still have very big and very good back up OG's ready to take over

for the North Texas game.

This game will be won in the trenches!

Playing on the road has not been our friend for awhile. These Bobcats will be coming out of their tunnel like the Mexican blitz on the 13'th and final day at the Alamo.

What I would tell our Mean Green players pre-game is....... "just act like all those people in the stands are yelling for you." That should un-do any home field crowd advantage, right? :rolleyes1:

Like most of you, I didn't give us much a chance with this game in the summer but that was before I saw our team with more talent coupled with speed than what we've seen for awhile. I like our chances, but our players should know that they will be playing a very angry football team. If we can match their anger with the kind of ball control offense and improved defense we could surprise a few in the Buckeye state.

GMG!
