I think the first thing is important. Not only was the defense tired, but there was zero real pressure on Williams in the 4th Q of a blowout.

Which is why you saw McNulty, not Williams, in there when DT went down earlier in the game.

For what it's worth, I hope we see DW as the #2 from now on, in any situation. In 6 plays, McNulty had a fumble snap that hit him in the hands and a pick. We know what we have there, and it isn't a FBS level QB. If anything happens to DT (God forbid), we should roll out a true freshman because he is the best we have.

And that is just plain scary.

No need to be scared. Dajon will be able to lead this team by the end of the season. All he needs is some experience. I would rather he is brought along slowly, but if he had to be thrown in the fire, he would be no worse than DT last year. He has the composure and that is something you can't teach.

I know there wasn't really pressure to win on Williams' shoulders and Idaho was more or less gassed out, but he looked sharp during his time on the field. It'll be interesting to see how the battle between Williams/Berglund/McNulty will go this offseason.

I think this battle will be done before it gets started from what I have heard.

I like what they did with DaJon, a great way to develop what looks to me to be an outstanding QB. Lots of time and little pressure in a real game, with fans noise and all.

Yup. Unless something major changes it'll be Dajon. It seems Berglund's window of opportunity closed and Mcnulty, who has actually had a chance to prove it on the field, just isn't a starting D1 qb.

What kind of students are DaJon Williams and even Brock Berglund?

What is presently a cupboard full of QB's can quickly disappear for various reasons in college football

One play during a season opening Clemson game a few years ago and Derek Thompson was out for the year.

Dajon looked great in the few minutes he played. As many say...he seems to have it. I'd still like to

see what Brock Berglund can do, also. .

Again, we cannot have enough QB's.

GMG!

Jim I don't know the answer to your question but I have read that Mac runs a tight ship and if I remember correctly over a 3.0 gpa for the football team. I think it is all time high..

I don't think that Berglund's window ever opened. At least, none of us got to see it.

That's what I think too. I don't think it's fair but I wasn't at the practices so we'll never really know. Kind of a shame, but I hope he sticks around.

There are some questions to be answered but one thing was immediately clear. He moves in a way that shows more potential than anyone else I have ever seen at QB for the Mean Green. If he can live up to that potential we are in for some good times.
