The North Texas Alumni Association is throwing a Game Watching Party for the North Texas - Ohio football game on Saturday, September 7.

The party is at the UNT Alumni Pavilion on the Apogee Stadium grounds in the Shadow of The Wing.

Admission to this watching event is FREE and open to EVERYONE!!!

There is an Octoberfest theme for the party and beverages from some of the local breweries will be served in addition to popular favorites.

Come out, have a beer or two, and cheer for the Mean Green!

I may just show up for this! I do have a question though. Does anyone know why the alum pavilion was not placed in the stadium? I would like to visit it during a game but once you leave the stadium you cannot get back in. The one at fouts was "in" it.

I am pretty sure they close it once the game starts, so there is no one leaving the stadium to go there...

Andrew...the one at Fouts was not an Alumni Pavilion. The one now is the very first Alumni Pavilion for UNT. I assume the reason was that there was simply not enough room for a facility that size in the stadium, and for the fact that it will be used for events other than those associated with football. Hope to see you at Oktoberfest Saturday!

Adding to KRAM1's comments, the deck at Fouts was a Mean Green Club ammenity, not tied to the Alumni Association.

There is flexibility in having the pavilion outside the stadium because it can be used when the stadium isn't open, including non game day or non football events.

How big are the mugs, and what is the price of beer? I really need something to bitch about after last week's victory. I need to get some kind of idea how much cash to bring.

The mugs are 15oz. The beer, I believe, will be $4.00 each for a 12oz serving. There will be various food options so bring lots of money it is for a great cause.
