I know this is a stat that some on here seemed to focus on. We had 27 first downs last night. We passed 14 times on 1st down*.

*Disclaimer: there were a few times when 1st down had to be replayed due to penalties. Those plays fed into the 14 passes, but may not be part of the 27 total 1st downs.

And look at what the offensive did.

Balance is the key .

@UNT90. Couldnt agree more. We need to play aggressive and threaten the pass and/or play.

Throw the ball, when you do that it will open up our running game even more. We all know we have a very solid running game, with the threat of the pass it gets that much better.

Balance is Vital

I thought the game plan was amazing. And Chico deserves kudos for this...I know there are some that are critical of him.

We didn't ask DT to do anything above what he did well against K-State. Kept it short and underneath for the most part and the receivers turned it into long plays. I wonder how effective this will be against Ohio but I have faith that we'll adjust. I'd like to see some double moves by receivers and maybe a reverse or two to keep the defense from getting comfortable.
