Solid win for UTSA at New Mexico and wku took down sec Kentucky fierce. Good wins for CUSA and the dirty birds aren't going 0-11 as expected.

I caught those as well. Some other things that I noticed:

I counted a total of 8 FCS wins over FBS teams. Pretty sure my tally was accurate...and that was in only one weekend. A couple of those were against teams that were pretty highly regarded pre-season.

ULaLa was doing pretty well against Arkansas in the first half. Texas State also pulled in a win. Not CUSA, I know, but still...

Major upsets including Boise State and UGA.

Rice was handling aTm fairly well early on. Probably our toughest game of the year as it looks right now.

FIU had some decent moments against Maryland. They could perform well this year.

Very glad that we weren't playing Marshall today. (I originally was going to say, "this season", but the West looks pretty open as of Week 1 so who knows?)

MUTS and Tulane had some good games against FCS opponents. We'll see how that translates against other teams, but still some nice wins.

Side note: according to the write-up on espn.com, we are now North Texas University. They're getting closer...
