I got the chance to watch some of North Texas' game vs. Idaho online tonight. If you thought they were going to be a pushover, think again. They're currently ahead 40-6...yes, 40-6...with 3 minutes left. And they have looked dominant. They have some serious athletes on both sides of the ball.

I know, I know...one game at a time! But, they have me a bit worried now.

Oh yeah? Well how's bout' this: Ohio U has us all worried down here in the Mean Green Nation.

Ohio U's Coach Solich and our Coach McCarney are old Big 10 friends from back in the day and I think even coached together at some point.

Ohio U will be a great yet difficult test for the Mean Green and especially being a road game.

Yes, we have more good athletes on this Fall's version of the Mean Green, but Ohio U has the same thing working for them, too.

GMG!

Until now, I was looking at the Ohio game as a "hope we win but don't hold your breath" game. But compared to our "easier" games last year, today's performance makes me think it will be a lot closer than I originally thought, and if we see some solid play from everyone, we could certainly squeak out a win on the road next week. I still expect it to be one of the tougher games this year (and thank heavens we don't play an angry Georgia team next week), but again, apples to apples, I don't think anyone expected this level of dominance even against what was billed as our weakest opponent, so I'm much more optimistic about the possibility of being very competitive with Ohio and BallS taters.

Looking at their board, it appears that 2 starting OL went down with possible season ending injuries. This could be really big for us. If we don't get pressure on their QB, we lose by 2 scores or more.
