It's official. Every other team has cooler helmets than us. I wish Phil Knight went to North Texas.

No kidding. What's even more frustrating is that we could have among the best looking headgear around.

We could, but then we'd just be known as "that school with the cool, recognizable logo" instead of "NORTH TEXAS". Right there with those teams that have the longhorn, mustang, hawkeye, wildcat, tiger, buffalo etc (I have no idea what those schools' names are, sorry).

Here's part of his NT comment:

"Cool idea, even if it leads to a sorta weird hodgepodge and whatever it is that neon thing is supposed to be on the helmet."

LOL!!!

What is interesting to me is every place that has mentioned our throwback uniform has had something positive to say about it (present board excluded). :thumbsu:

I do like the UConn help. It's different idea that is not that strange.

The ULL helmet with the fleur-de-lis shows you exactly much better a good logo looks on a helmet as opposed to just words.

SUNY-Buffalo - Their marketing department should have to server as tackling dummies for those stupid jerseys.

I love the white helmets but the flying worm is freaking horrible. The overall look of our jerseys right now are pretty embarrassing.

I was thinking the exact opposite.

To each their own..... Look at other teams jerseys and then think about ours, not even close! Our regular jerseys are just okay but the ones today are pretty bad! Look at TCU's OSU's and Oregon's.... freaking rocks!!

i thought our Under Armour jerseys were super awesome

I think you have run into a generational fight where many of us dislike the TCU, OSU and Oregon crap they roll out each week. Since when is TCU black and red?

Our UA jerseys were Southlake Carrol copies...not super awesome, Dude.

The UA unis are underrated, being clouded by the quality of football that was being played in them. Much like the worm is celebrated because of winning football.

I would be very happy to never see the worm again, I don't see the value in a logo that has everybody outside of this message board wondering what the hell it is.

I'm young, and the TCU crap is awful...as were the Carrol ones.

How much publicity has any other aspect of any other North Texas uniform garnered in comparison to the worm? It's drawing attention and curiosity. Heaven forbid people start paying attention to us for any other reason than our atrocious win/loss record over the past several years.
