I want to buy a good pole. I have a Frontier pickup. I do not want one that will flex and hit the side of my truck.

This one is a better deal. It has the pole AND the tire stand.

All of them are going to flex to a certain extent. The metal ones will flex a little less than a PVC pipe. If you are concerned that it will bump your truck (unlikely) then buy one of those pool noodles like this.....http://www.sportchalet.com/product/301523_0276120.do?kwid=lifoam+the+original+wacky+noodle&gclid=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sportchalet.com%2Fproduct%2F301523_0276120.do&gclid=CKWDyOfzjbkCFevm7Aod5BsA9A. They sell them at every wal-mart, grocery store, and/or dollar store in the metroplex for a couple of dollars....try to buy a green one.

Make sure it is hollow and then cut it down one side and then slip it over the pole in the area that the pole might make contact with your truck.

problem solved.

Anyone use the WEBER SMOKEY JOE® SERIES when tailgating?

nothing wrong with smokey joe if your cooking a couple burgers and hot dogs. I go with the aussie when i'm not cooking for the masses at my tailgate... folds up easily, decent surface area, similar price to the smaller webers
