he was a freshman in 2011 and is listed as a junior. He would likely be looking at a redshirt year due to the transfer.

Sounds like he could be a good QB, think the coaches will try him out there or is Safety his shot?

I noticed his name come up in yesterday in another thread and found a little information on him. He originally signed with Oregon State out of high school. I think he had to sit out this season due to the transfer and will be a junior next season. Interesting that he was voted scout team MVP on special teams at OSU. Posted this in the starting qb poll thread.

Here are Ashton's high school highlights. Looks like his school ran the veer (triple-option) offense. Not a bad passer. Compact release, decent arm strength. I wouldn't expect him to be thrown in the mix but maybe.

He was first team all 5-5A at defensive tackle (Keller Central) and academic all state. I started a thread about him, if anyone has any additional info, (like how big he is etc) feel free to chime in! Welcome Joe!
