Did we skip a season in there somewhere?

Everybody, including media reports on our shiny new uniforms, is calling this our 100th season of football.

Wasn't 1913 our first season of football, and wouldn't that make this season our 101st?

Sorry to be nitpicky, but it made me start wondering if we skipped a year in WWII or something.

I believe that we did skip a season somewhere along the line. Others can give you the exact year.

Thinking it was most likely during WW2

Goggled "Did UNT play football during WW2" and got -

North Texas did not play football during 1943-45 due to World War II
