Hate is a four letter word!

I may not like him as our offensive coordinator, and can not imagine the guy as a head coach anywhere.

But hate?

How can you even say that?

I am hurt.

I don't hate him either. Maybe the problem is that Mac won't let him off a short, conservative leash? I don't know. When we looked back at his numbers as an OC, they don't look that great, especially at Az.

But I do think someone gets fired during or after this season if things go south. It would likely be the OC, since that is where a lot of the trouble lies.

I think that is the first clue, I went back and read about him on the forums where he coached, there was very little praise and most were glad to have him leave. Does not seem like a ringing endorsement to me.

I never really thought that Chico was McCarney's "guy" at OC. I have always thought that he kept him to help smooth the transition for the team in light of his brief success as the interim head coach after Dodge left.

One of my favorites games in recent memory was our game against K State at Fouts when Chico was the head coach. That one barely got away from us and Dunbar had a monster day...

So maybe we need to bring back Conroy Hines as our OC. I like Canales, but he may be better suited as a HC. Then again, I think we are all jumping the gun a little bit considering this was scrimmage #1 of the Fall.

I was there. I think your memories are colored green. That game did not "barely" get away from us. We were never in a position to take the lead the entire 4th quarter and could not stop K State whenever they touched the ball in the 3rd quarter, and were relegated to Chase Baine, God love him but still a walk on, trying to lead us to a late touchdown to make the score closer, not to win.

Dunbar had a monster day. But only had 1 scant yard more than the K St. running back.
