If this has been previously posted or is common knowledge, I apologize, but I found this interesting...

Sept. 21: North Texas at Georgia — Much like Southern Miss and Arkansas, North Texas has played every SEC team (including A&M and Missouri) but Georgia and South Carolina. Mark Georgia off the list as the Mean Green and the Bulldogs square off for the first time.

Maybe we can get The Ol' Ball Coach to put a shirt on long enough to organize a Mean Green upset in Columbia.

When did NT play aTm? I know it hasn't been recent (in the last 20 years).

Then someone erased September 27, 1997 from the history books.

This game holds the "home" attendance record for North Texas at 45,923. (We played it at Texas Stadium.)

I remember the game in 96...it was on the road....I was in the GB...we played a hell of a show....crickets...no applause except from the north Texas contingent...I was shocked and surprised...guess the atm (ass to mouth) didn't appreciate proper marching bands....just their regimental stuff...which I'm not a fan of...

We are 4-42 against the SEC and 0-7 against A&M. we played the Aggies in 1928, 1946, 1986, 1990, 1996, 1997 and 1998.

Wow...I did not know that. I especially did not know we played them that recently. I really missed out. I must have been out of town (Washington D.C. or Memphis).
