Does anyone know if these are the updated weights?

http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/ntex-m-footbl-mtt.html

Some thoughts just scanning through:

Bellazin up to 265, good to see some size at DE

Boutwell 248.....ugh...hopefully we see him at DE this season.

Berglund listed as a Soph. With him, Dajon and Andy I feel good about the future at QB

Brady Brown is a big target 6'5

Sed Ellis, get that kid in the weight room, 6'3 189

Jim Jim up to 222

Cooper jones has the size at TE 6'4 243

Rod Lancaster 6'2

Had no idea Loving was 272

McKinney 365 at C!

Sid moore 252

Austin Orr 6'4 272

Wylie Reinhardt listed as TE 6'4 275

Anorther tall target at WR, Nick Scrapps 6'3 203

Dutton Watson 273

Bellazin and Reinhardt are built more like DT's than is Boutwell.

I found it interesting that Sid Moore is listed as DL as opposed to DT or DE as everyone else...could they be thinking of putting him at end?

Also Daryl Mason at 6-3, 253 -- watch out! If he's healthy and he sat out spring due to injuries -- but if he's healthy he could be a big producer for us.

The optimal statement is "if he's healthy". Does anyone know what he was recovering from in the spring?

McKinney at 365 is NOT a good thing.

Well, in the brief interview/practice video, McCarney claims that essentially no one needs to lose weight. 365 does seem to indicate that something has gone wrong though . . .

Austin Orr and Alexander Lincoln are both listed at DE. I was under the impression that both were DT's. At 272 and 267 lbs., respectively, they do not have ideal size, but better than the 248 lbs. that Boutwell is listed at. I find it hard to believe that none of our 18 OL can play DT.

I do have a question about RB. Our top three are all in the 220s. That may make for a good smash-mouth style, but don't we need someone to be a quicker alternative, especially on third down? Is it possible that someone else besides Byrd, Jimmerson, and Pegram will get some significant playing time?

Just for background, Ryan played at 245-250 in 2011. Never more than 260 in 2012. Not to say that is optimum, but it is what it is.

He seems to have the technique to compensate for the size differential. That said, I would love to see him at DE as I think that is where he could do the most damage.

I think he would like to see himself at DE but cannot argue with the playing time he gets.

Yes, Jimmerson at around 5'8" 225 does sound a bit big for the running style we have seen from him in the past. Sure hope he has retained his speed and quickness.

I think he was recruited at about that weight and played center at JUCO at that size. Former baseball player, very athletic.

Coach Mac won't talk bad about his players in public. All you get is coach speak (which is exactly what Coach Mac should be doing).

If that is his weight, he never sees the field this year.

If he could just give 50lbs to Sid Moore.

Jimmerson was never really a fast guy anyway. Remember, most of his memorable plays came when he juked guys who caught up to him from behind.

Shifty/Quick? Yes.

Fast? No.

I bet he retains the same attributes that made him so great, even at 225.

This right here.

Jim reminds me a lot of a poor man's Emmitt Smith. He isn't going to outrun anybody, but he will accelerate through the line, cause LBs to miss, and is really good at yards after contact.

One position I am not worried about.

He was playing last year at 219, he's 3 more pounds this year. At his size the kid is an athletic freak of nature.

For those concerned about Shawn McKinney's size, first of all I do not think all of these listings are 100% accurate and I don't think he weighs 365.

Second, I was playing touch football with him this summer at my old high school and he was really showing some darn impressive speed. One play I was sure I had overthrown Shawn and he turned on the afterburners and made a snag. Dude's athleticism really had me impressed. Not saying he's going to start, but I'm not scared that he's too out of shape to play.

I think Jimmerson's speed is a little underrated. He definitely got to the third level the most out of all our backs which is the important part, but everytime he got caught they had an angle on him. Yeah, he isn't going to be a burner or homerun back, but as shifty, explosive, and yes, fast as he is at 5'8" 222 is nothing short of a phenomenal.

You think Jimmerson has a higher top-end speed than Byrd? I don't know.

No I don't. I just think he has a little more speed than people give him credit and he got to the third level more than Byrd.

I think Byrd has more top end speed than Jimmerson, but that's the only advantage I give him over Jimmerson.

Byrd had the two most perfectly blocked up plays of the season in his long run against WKU and his long run against South Alabama. While they were blocked perfectly, I'm not sure if Jimmerson would've been caught or not.

I agree. He may not win any hundred meter championships, but he has a great burst. I wasn't aware that he played at close to a legit 220 last year, so that kinda eases any weight concerns.
