Changing the name to Eppy was a huge mistake in the first place. Our mascot has regained his rightful name and that unfortunate part of our history needs to be forgotten.

I remember Eppy used to show up at Homecoming in the late 90's after Scrappy was brought back. Not sure when that stopped.

My daughter loves Scrappy. He's all she cares about when at Apogee, or as she calls it: "Scrappy's castle".

I was actually thinking about this the other day. I agree that Eppy is awful, but if you want to do a "North Texas football over the years" thing, it'd be cool to have as many as we can - Eppy, old Scrappy, whatever. Even find people who wore them back in the day and have them wear the costumes, if they're still around.
