Kishawn McClain commits to UNT

Kishawn McClain, an athlete out of Rosenberg Terry, committed to UNT on Thursday afternoon, a week after attending the school’s Talon Talent camp for top prospects.

McClain, 5-11, 193, was recruited as a safety by UNT. He plays both quarterback and safety for his high school team.

McClain said he chose UNT over an offer from Texas State.

Sure he's not the big quarterback some schools are looking for, but McClain has the versatility to not only take snaps, but nearly play every skilled position. But seeing that he will primarily be throwing the ball this weekend, he will continue to show that he is a solid player.

After each touchdown, it is required to do some sort of remake of a scene, ie pretend to tie a firehose around his waist and jump off an exploding roof or crawl on his back while pretending to shoot through a table, and yell YIPPEE KI YAY!!!

Seriously?! Came home from work yesterday to find out we landed Garner, today come back and see we got Montgomery and McClain!!

I knew it was not a matter of if but when with Montgomery, but McClain was a very pleasant surprise. I love the way our class is shaping up defensively.

Playing as an ironman in any sport requires some serious balls, and he definitely has them. He may end up as my favorite player of the decade if he's as crazy and awesome at the college level as he sounds like he'll be.
