Congrats! Make sure you harass anyone with UT & SMU license plates. :D

My days of harassing folks are long since over. I'll be a watch commander, which means (because I'm in Dallas) I'll have more officers under my command than 85% of the police chiefs in the state of Texas. No time for traffic stops.

Watch Commander, eh?

Don't let your officers do this to you.

:D

I'm just bustin' your chops my friend. Seriously, congrats and we're lucky people like you exist, willing to protect and serve.

:)

Thank you. It's been a stressful past six months with the written test and assessment center...just glad to have it over and anxious to start.

Congrats Emmitt! Just a little tip....I hear TCU football players love them some drugs, so you may want to focus your efforts on/around the TCU campus. If you do that, you will surely get your next promotion within 4-6 months.

In all seriousness, goodluck on the new position.

I'm movin on up.

I wanted to wait until this became more official but I'll put it out there now. When you see me out there tailgating Friday August 30th you can come and have a beer with Lieutenant Jackson.

Congrats.

Please don't make the mistake of so many and forget the ranks from which you came. You are entering a whole new world where many of your peers will pick the politically correct solution, no matter how much it hurts the people that make them look good.

Your life is about to be filled with the ass whipping of manager's meetings where many of your peers will bend numbers to make themselves look good.

Stay strong, my friend.

Congrats , LT...Told you at the softball game that it was a "done deal"...and if not at that time it should have been already a done deal! Nicely done, and congratulations!

So does this mean more or less flexibility in your attempts to make every NT sporting event possible? :)

Way more. The Lt can "flex" their hours (for the good of the dept of course). ;-).

And Lt's have weekends off.

UNT90...trust me, I know. When is a robbery not a robbery? When it's an assault followed closely by a theft. Ha

That's pretty great. I wasn't sure...sometimes the higher someone goes in the job, the less free time they seem to have.
