The C-USA schedule culminates with the 2014 C-USA tournament, which will be played in El Paso, Texas, on March 12-15. The top 12 teams in the league will receive a bid to the tournament, with the top four earning a first-round bye.

The 12 team rumor was based on an incorrect or very poorly worded UAB press release. All 15 eligible teams will participate. FIU won't because they are on probation.

Thanks for the clarification Blazer!

In all honesty, with the talent we have and the coaching we have, I expect UNT to begin play on Wednesday. I wouldn't mind being proven wrong in a good way, but I'm leery of being proven wrong the bad way.

I anticipate a Tuesday start or worse...

Take a good long look at that conference schedule. I struggle to find even 4 wins in there.

Conference slate will be much tougher in BB than football IMO

I'll be surprised with anything around .500

I think we might get out numbered by ODU fans when they visit the Super Pit. Their star player is from Wichita Falls. He's made SC Top 10 plays a few times with his highlight dunks

Dangit... I know!

I'm just trying to keep a shred of optimism. Face value says we can start play on Wed. My heart says we can start play on Thursday. My head says we're probably going to start play on Tuesday.

I think we could be competitive! Tony and Roger are big losses but we are adding some good players and we should shoot the ball better.

End of season RPI last year:

27. Southern Miss

33. MTSU

51. LA Tech

67. ECU

81. Charlotte

97. UTEP

116. FIU

124. Tulsa

142. UAB

173. Tulane

207. Marshall

220. FAU

252. North Texas

262. UTSA

318. ODU

323. Rice

ODU fired the coach and lost several players. I don't look for them to improve much.

I don't think UTSA will ever compete at the top of C-USA basketball.

With just a little bit of improvement, you can finish middle of the pack. I also think the top of the league will be wide open.

There aren't that many basketball fans in Wichita Falls LOL

Little Pitino left FIU too...I expect them to fall back to their normal lousy basketball.

FAU and FIU games are both in Florida. We may win one of these plus maybe UTSA at home.

Don't have a lot of hope for the rest.

The team is supposedly looking good. TJTaylor is going to really impress and we finally have a true big in Collin Voss. We should have a lot of contributors but I am wondering what the substitutions will look like.

We will be all year, because they will be happening so fast, the players will be unrecognizable...
