Sad news - he was only 53. My wife told me - she listened to his show every morning. Did a lot of work and raised a lot of money for charity. RIP.

Sad indeed. I didn't listen religiously like many, but he has been a fixture for years and truly did amazing things through his Kid's Kids charity. Prayers to his family and his co-workers.

For somebody who is apparently so universally loved throughout DFW, I had never heard his name until Saturday night. I'm guessing he was on stations that I wouldn't listen to or something. Sounds like he was a hell of a good man.

Horrible tragedy. Listened to him from time to time in the mornings and always loved to hear his Kids Kids specials. From that article - KEGL, what a flashback.

My wife listened to his morning show daily on the way to work. He did so much throughout DFW to give back.

One of my former students worked on his show for a couple of years. She said all the positive stories were true, not self promotion or hype. When she went to work for a rival company he still offered her support, advice and friendship. A good guy for sure.

I remember listening to him on my old jambox in the KEGL days. Even though I hadn't heard his show in a while, I can still remember his voice.

I can sympathize with those who listened to him every day.

I was never a Kraddick fan. He was mean and ugly to Russ Martin at the KEGL and I'm not a fan of the KISS FM music format.

While none of my radio "heros" have not died I can understand being upset. I have had several DJs I listen to get fired. And with the whole "no compete clause" in the contract they can't get a job in the market elsewhere for the term of the contract, eventually going to another station, or going to another city, et al - it can be unnerving.
