UNT Friday Night Lights idea = genius!

Whoever came up with the idea to do this camp deserves a raise -- there are a TON of good players attending this camp and they are all tweeting about it. This concept is going to pay some dividends and I mean both ways... North Texas will get to scout a LOT of great football players and the players get a chance to show what they can do. GMG!

Is there a calendar of when these will be held?

This is one of those things where our metropolitan location also helps, too, albeit players will be coming from all parts of Texas.

I am very happy to see us doing this. A lot of big time programs have events like this around this time. Tennessee had one called foundation week last week where they got about 5 commits, Georgia has one called Dawg Night, and I think Florida has one called Friday Night Lights also.

Coach Mac wants nothing less than for UNT to be a top destination for recruits and not just a fallback plan.

I agree, and I think there is still room for this event to grow. I'd love to see channel 21 send "the Fan Sports Show" up and host the show live from next years "Friday Night Lights" event. I think that would be a real win, win situation.

One of things going right for UNT and one of many. Getting great reviews as well....I thought I heard that a special Thursday night lights was held prior to this Friday Night Lights and included a group of 100 special invitees.

Did I dream that or did it actually happen?
