He's got the size, athleticism, and arm. In his second year as a starter he will be much better at reading defenses and the game will be much slower for him.

Just gave his verbal and already we are criticizing...

Not criticizing. I love the pickup and can't wait to see him in green. I just thought the pic was funny due to him passing with his eyes closed (obviously blinking).

If he's a keeper and signs an LOI next February (as I understand most who give early commits do) I am also excited about Coach Means, ie, his Texas High School football coach dad who could be valuable to our UNT coaching staff providing inside information about other Greater Houston area potential recruits.

Honestly, this Rice U and Greater Houston connection for UNT is at the top of the list for me as far as our being in Conference-USA. The H-town area has for too long been missing in our conference footprint; in fact, its been missing since we were in the Missouri Valley Conference with UH albeit that was too short a time for that.

I'm really excited to see what our Houston area players from our current class do as true freshman (Darvin Kidsy and Chad Davis).

Also, because Connor Means is an early enrollee you don't have to wait until national signing day to see if we keep him. Because he is an early enrollee he will enroll in December and start classes at UNT in January. Also, if we can make a bowl game, Means would be able to participate in our bowl game practices.
