I hope that doesn't mean they are going to red shirt Kidsy. I think he can contribute early and has a great up side.

I don't know. I agree, it would be a shame to not give him a chance. He's got playmaking ability and he looks surprisingly polished as a route runner in his film.

I wouldn't take it as an indication of red-shirting. There's been a #7 making tackles on kick-off for a couple years. Thompson will get the credit some times.

Thanks for confirming Marty, I think that may explain things. I believe Brown was out on kick-off coverage early in the year.

You're allowed to have two players with the same number on the team as long as they play on different sides of the ball. Last year it was Devante Davis wearing number 7. The thing about Kidsy and Lewis is that they both play offense.

Yeah, I have talked to him before and he said he was still a redshirt freshman. I've heard that there might be a minimum of plays to retain a redshirt. Not sure if that's true or not but it seems he is somehow still a redshirt freshman. Quite frankly that is important, since we need some backs after Byrd graduates this year and Pegram next year.

We've got to get over the "minimum number of plays" idea. One play for a year counts as one year. Medical hardships are a whole other subject.

Does anyone know much about Mustafa Haboul? At 6-0ft he does not seem like someone you recruit as a project player at DT. Is he just an incredible athlete that they hope to plug in somewhere?

My point was that Rollins has a chance to emerge as the number two guy by then. Yes he'll have to beat out Lewis and anyone we pick up in recruiting, but he has that opportunity.

I agree. Love the talent that will be competing for playing time.

Just ask Derek Thompson if you don't believe Eulessmore...

Just glancing at the roster , this Ricky Pratt looks like a pretty decent player for a walk on

Cisco Junior College: Played two seasons at Cisco College ... Was named all-conference during his sophomore season there and recorded four interceptions and 10 pass break ups.

High School: Was a first-team all-district cornerback his junior and senior seasons at South Grand Prairie High School ... Had six interceptions as well as 33 pass break ups during that time.

Notice they slipped his phone number into that film. Obviously a media ploy.
