The Borgias on HBO or Showtime - I always get confused. Great show rooted in historical fact that exposes the Catholic church. (It was what the Godfather was actually based upon.) I too dislike Game of Thrones - Borgias takes a few episodes to lay ground work but worth it. Some nice current day issues woven in under the guise of ancient Rome/Vatican - or is it? Perhaps we just keep making the same mistakes.

If you've never watched Shameless on Showtime you should catch that too.

Google "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. It's an online show featuring Jerry Seinfeld simply picking up comedian/actor friends and talking over a cup a joe and some lunch. Beautiful old cars and some great conversations - season 1 with Alec Baldwin should be the last one you watch. That dude is quite the story teller and hilarious. No commercials and nothing longer than say 17 minutes.

Dexter of course. This is the last season. Seasons 1& 2 great. Then he kinda jumps the shark but pulls it back together at times.

Almost anything on Showtime or HBO on Sunday's is worth the watch except of course GOT and that silly vampire show.

Modern Family is the best show on Network. (ABC - Wednesdays)

BTW - Watch Dex through the Season with John Lithgow as The Trinity killer. Totally worth it. Just dont give up on that season (3?) It gets a bit meh for one or two shows but it pays off in the end.

Oh lord. "I'm cute and quirky and like to talk about bewbs with my guy friends! Love me!"

That stopped after 10 episodes, they retooled it and it is a funny ensemble comedy with much less of the being quirky vibe. It basically did what Parks and Rec did, sucked, adjusted and got great. Same for the Mindy show right after.

All that said, Breaking Bad is my top line rec.

I remember seeing the very first episode of Breaking Bad when it first aired, and thinking it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen. Shortly thereafter, I cut cable, or didn't remember what it was called, I don't remember, but I didn't see another episode for a few years.

So it comes to Netflix, and I'm really excited. I get about five episodes in, and I realize that I can't stand a single character. I appear to have an innate need to root for somebody in a given show, and I found myself hating them all in this one.

I realize I am by far in the minority on this one. Just a personal quirk I guess.

I second the vote on Yo Gabba Gabba!

I'm really surprised that you aren't die hard for Modern Family with your "tendencies". :)
