Weve already talked about Ohio a bit, but Idaho travels to Denton to start the season coming off a 1-11 campaign in 2012. This game looks to be the best shot for the Mean Green to secure an out-of-conference victory. Ball State was a bowl team in 2012, as we previously mentioned, but the Cardinals allowed just 1.6 fewer points per game than they scored. If UNT can control the ball and keep Ball States defense on the field, this helps their chances of pulling the upset. A trip between the hedges to Sanford Stadium finalizes the four non-C-USA games for North Texas, and is by far the toughest out of the four games.

      Morris didn’t allow it, he demanded it. Remember, Morris brought Caponi here because Morris said he’d struggled in the past against the 3-3-5. Hopefully Morris has learned that just because he struggled against the 3-3-5 with his air raid (like) offensive doesn’t mean other coaches struggle with it. (Of course, having the right horses makes a difference too.). We’ll have our answer if Morris brings in a different 3-3-5 coach, but I don’t think he will.

      Now that the Xs ans Os are getting fixed, we need to get the proper Jimmy's and Joe's on defense. Hopefully we see some short term improvements these next few weeks, but we need a good hire, and better players on that side of the ball this off-season.

      If I was Coach Hodge, I would have this blown up and posted in the locker room. I would tell the players that this is what people think of you and we need to go out and dominate every team defensively until people start putting some respect on our name. Then when people do start to put some respect on our name, we need to dominate teams some more to leave no doubt.
